LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Chicago Bears and offensive tackle Kevin Shaffer have agreed to terms on a three-year contract.
Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
Shaffer started 47 games for the Cleveland Browns the past three seasons, 31 at right tackle and 16 at left, but
Shaffer was selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the seventh round of the 2002 draft. He made 39 starts with the Falcons in four seasons and started in the 2005 NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Bears with John Tait and John St. Clair , presumably to fill Shaffer's old job.
