Chargers QB Justin Herbert (left hand) active Monday vs. Eagles

Los Angeles Chargers star quarterback Justin Herbert is good to go for Monday night.

Herbert is active and will start against the Philadelphia Eagles despite suffering a broken bone in his left non-throwing hand during L.A.'s Week 13 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

On Dec. 1, Herbert underwent surgery to address his fractured hand. Herbert said early on he was approaching things as if he would play against Philly, and head coach Jim Harbaugh shared that he was "optimistic" regarding Herbert's status. Following three days of limited practices from the QB, the Bolts labeled Herbert as questionable for Monday's tilt.

Herbert has thrown for 2,842 yards, 21 touchdowns and 10 interceptions this season. He's also contributed a career-high 353 rushing yards and one score on the ground.

His availability is crucial to the Chargers, especially given the crowded AFC wild-card race. Heading into Monday's matchup against the Eagles, Los Angeles has a 63% chance to make the playoffs, according to Next Gen Stats.

Herbert and Co. kick off against Philadelphia at 8:15 p.m. ET on Monday.
