Harrison: Week 9 predictions
Oakland Raiders defensive tackle Richard Seymour drew a flag for his hit on Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel, and now he's drawn a fine from the league.
The defensive tackle was docked $15,750 for his late hit in the Raiders' 26-16 win on Sunday.
Other fines confirmed Friday:
» Chicago Bears safety Chris Conte thought his $21,000 fine put on by his teammates, according to Bears radio network sideline reporter Zach Zaidman. It turned out to be all too true, however, as Conte was indeed fined that amount for striking a defenseless player in the head and neck area. The Bears did manage to edge out a against the Carolina Panthers.
» New York Giants defensive tackle Chris Canty was fined $15,750 for roughing the passer in his  over the Dallas Cowboys. Canty led with the crown of his helmet when he struck Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.
» Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Mike Martin found his wallet $15,750 lighter after being fined for unnecessary roughness against quarterback Andrew Luck in to the Indianapolis Colts.
» In an AFC East rivalry match, the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets found themselves fined on both sides. Dolphins linebacker Marcus Dowtin was fined $15,750 for unnecessary roughness, while Jets offensive tackle Jonathan Martin was docked $10,000 for an illegal chip. » Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen and offensive tackle Donald Penn's on 'Thursday Night Football' drew the NFL's attention. Both players were fined $7,875 for grabbing an opponent by the facemask.
