Eleven days after exploiting wide running lanes for 106 rushing yards in Week 6, New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs was inactive for versus the Minnesota Vikings.
Seventh-round rookie Michael Cox started at running back, with newly signed Peyton Hillis also in the mix.
Now that Jacobs, David Wilson, Andre Brown and Da'Rel Scott are all banged up, there isn't a single active tailback with a rushing attempt in a Giants uniform.
Expect offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride to rely on a pass-heavy game plan against a Vikings secondary that has surrendered 308 yards per game through the air.
