Injury roundup: Rob Gronkowski playing for Patriots

Sorry, Houston, but Rob Gronkowski is good to go.

The New England Patriots tight end -- limited all week in practice with a smattering of injuries to his back, forearm and hamstring -- will be on the field against the Texans, according to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.

Gronkowski has scored in three straight games and given Patriots quarterback Tom Brady a consistent target to focus on since returning to action in Week 7.

Brady has gone to Gronk on 26 percent of his throws for the past five games, and he looms as a big piece of the puzzle against a Texans team that hasn't won a football game since Sept. 15.

Here's the rest of Sunday's injury roundup:

  1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers shutdown corner Darrelle Revis for with the Panthers despite the groin injury he suffered in Week 12, Rapoport reported. That means Carolina's Steve Smith has a one-way ticket to Revis Island.
  1. San Francisco's Michael Crabtree is healthy and in with the St. Louis Rams. Rapoport was told the 49ers receiver might not play 100 percent of the snaps, but easing him in has nothing to do with physical limitations.
  1. New England Patriots running back Stevan Ridley is a healthy scratch after his costly fumble in last Sunday night's win over the Denver Broncos. A combination of Shane Vereen, Brandon Bolden and LeGarrette Blount will pick up the slack against Houston.
  1. The Arizona Cardinals announced that running back Andre Ellington (knee) will be the Philadelphia Eagles, leaving the up-and-down Rashard Mendenhall to carry the load. NFL Media's Albert Breer reported Ellington showed up to Lincoln Financial Field and told the doctors his knee didn't feel quite right. Ellington campaigned to play, according to Breer, but the Cardinals. Ellington's injury is perceived to be short-term, multiple team sources told Breer.
  1. Carolina's committee backfield won't have DeAngelo Williams on Sunday after the Panthers ruled him inactive with a thigh injury. (ankle) and Mike Tolbert (knee) will play after being limited Thursday and Friday.
  1. NFL Media's Stacey Dales that Chicago Bears defensive tackles Jay Ratliff and Stephen Paea both expect the Minnesota Vikings, per a source close to the team.
  1. Rapoport noted on NFL Network's "NFL GameDay First" that Aaron Rodgers is no sure bet to play in -- or beyond. The Packers quarterback would "be lucky" to play against the Falcons next Sunday, and if he doesn't -- and if Green Bay loses that game -- the team might to avoid further injury to the passer's fractured collarbone, Rapoport was told.
  1. We won't see Broncos tight end Julius Thomas (knee) the Kansas City Chiefs. Less dire, FOXSports.com's Jay Glazer reported that Denver running back Knowshon Moreno (ankle) is .
  1. A source told FOXSports.com that Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed (concussion) has been the New York Giants on Sunday night.
  1. For the New York Jets, receiver Santonio Holmes (foot) and cornerback Antonio Cromartie (hip) are active for with the Miami Dolphins. Pass-catcher Jeremy Kerley (elbow) is not, per Rapoport.
  1. As expected, Bears runner Matt Forte (knee) is active for Chicago's NFC North showdown with the Minnesota Vikings.
