  • The NFL informed teams that the deadline for cutting rosters down to 53 players will be Sunday, Aug. 30, at 6 p.m. ET, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported. Waiver claims will be due on Monday, Aug. 31, at 1 p.m. ET, per Pelissero, who added that cutdown day had been on Tuesday in recent years.

  • LT Andrew Thomas agreed to a restructured contract with New York, creating $6.46 million in cap space in 2026, ESPN reported. Thomas converted his base salary into a signing bonus to complete the restructure. Thomas, 27, has four years remaining on his current deal.

INJURIES

  • TE Kenyon Sadiq underwent a “minor procedure” for a hernia injury but is expected to be ready for training camp, head coach Aaron Glenn told reporters.
  • K Cade York is dealing with a groin injury and won't practice this week, per Glenn.

  • The Vikings wrapped up their second round of general manager interviews this week, ESPN reported. A decision could come within day or some follow-up conversations could be had. Vikings interim GM Rob Brzezinski, Broncos assistant GM Reed Burckhardt, Bills assistant GM Terrance Gray, Rams assistant GM John McKay and Seahawks assistant GM Nolan Teasely had second interviews.

  • LB Nick Bosa told reporters he is "pretty far along" in his ACL recovery and hopes to be ready to go for training camp.
  • DB Darrick Forrest was placed on injured reserve.

  • Dave McGinnis, a former Titans linebackers coach and Titans radio analyst, will be posthumously inducted into the Titans Ring of Honor this fall, the team announced. McGinnis, also a head coach of the Cardinals from 2000-2003, served as Tennessee's LBs coach from 2004-2011 and worked for Titans Radio as a color analyst from 2017-2025. He died in April at 74.
