Aldon Smith has been reinstated from his nine-game suspension.
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported that the San Francisco 49ers outside linebacker will participate in the team's walkthrough on Tuesday.
Smith was suspended the nine games in August for violating the league's policy on personal conduct and substances of abuse. The 25-year-old was allowed to be around the team during his suspension -- as part of the negotiated terms -- but couldn't participate in on-field activities.
The return of the pass-rushing demon will provide to a San Francisco team (5-4) that essentially Sunday  but lost defensive stalwart Patrick Willis.
The 49ers' defense aslo hopes to get linebacker NaVorro Bowman back down the road, as they ramp up for an important playoff push in a stacked NFC West.
