The Miami Dolphins' on-again, off-again relationship with Larry Johnson took another turn Tuesday as the team cut the former running back for the second time in 17 days, .
Johnson had only one carry for 2 yards in two games this season after the Dolphins picked him up as an insurance policy against rookie Daniel Thomas, who was nursing a hamstring injury at the time. Johnson initially didn't make the squad during the preseason.
Thomas exploded for 107 yards on 18 carries Sunday in his NFL debut, a performance that certainly made Johnson expendable in coach Tony Sparano's mind.
