Report: Packers LB Hawk fined $10K for gesture

A couple of Green Bay Packers linebackers will be dipping into their Super Bowl money to pay NFL fines this week.

A.J. Hawk was fined $10,000 by the league for showing his middle finger during last Sunday's win over the Rams, Fox Sports Insider and .

Hawk that the gesture, delivered to his own sideline, was a "running joke."

"It was just, I guess, a bad joke. I definitely won't do it again," he said.

Clay Matthews, meanwhile, told a cable television show that he was fined $5,000 for wearing bright yellow shoes in the Rams game, .

The Packers wore their 1929 throwback jerseys during the game, in which they defeated the Rams, 24-3, to go 6-0 on the season. Those jerseys were supposed to be worn with dark brown shoes.
