Already armed with a talent-rich roster that led them to a surprising-yet-dominant NFC North-title run, the Chicago Bears had some key offseason acquisitions.
Rookie running back David Montgomery has created a buzz, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is one of a handful of new and promising defensive backs and then there's Cordarrelle Patterson, .
Perhaps under the radar somewhat, Patterson is a six-season vet who has four years of experience in the NFC North and above all else comes to town with two All-Pro selections and a championship in his back pocket.
As intriguing as that experience is, Patterson was rather blunt about what it means going forward.
"What's it like to be a champ? Honestly, that don't mean s--- to me. I'm in a new role right now," Patterson told Justin Turpin of Redline Media. "I'm on a new team, so it's a new opportunity for me to bring my legacy and live on to another team. So, whatever happened last year in the past, that's in the past. I'm trying to just move forward."
Short and to the point as the 6-foot-2 Patterson was, his experience is no doubt beneficial for a team that has talent but little proficiency in the postseason.
And make no mistake, bringing a to Chicago will definitely mean ... a lot to the Bears and their faithful.
