JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars have waived special teams player Chad Nkang.
Nkang played two seasons and appeared in 23 games with the Jaguars before being cut Thursday.
Nkang began last season on the physically unable to perform list because of a wrist injury. He had seven special teams tackles and a forced fumble in seven games before being lost in December with a shoulder injury. He set a franchise record with 30 special teams tackles as a rookie in 2007 after being drafted in the seventh round out of Elon.
The Jaguars also cut running back Mike McLendon, a rookie free agent from North Alabama signed after last month's draft.
