Tarvaris Jackson appears headed for a reunion with Pete Carroll.
ESPN.com's Adam Schefter morning that Jackson is expected to sign a one-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks.
Jackson, released by the Buffalo Bills earlier this week, served as the Seahawks' starting quarterback in 2011, a season in which he played while injured and earned respect from teammates. He was a team captain that season, but he quickly lost his grip on a roster spot after the Seahawks brought in Matt Flynn and Russell Wilson.
As Gregg Rosenthal , the Seahawks' situation has changed greatly in the past year. Wilson has established himself as a franchise quarterback. Flynn is gone, traded to the Oakland Raiders. A best-case scenario for Jackson is replacing Flynn as Wilson's primary backup.
Jackson must beat out Brady Quinn to earn that No. 2 role. Given his prior relationship with offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, Jackson should be considered the favorite.
