"We always talk, and I would love to be back in Philly. So we'll see how things go," Westbrook said. "I think I can help out. I think they have a very good group of young guys on this team at every position, but I still think I can help this team win."
Westbrook, 31, is a free agent after spending last season in San Francisco, where he did his best work down the stretch in the 49ers' offense.
The Eagles have a promising young back in LeSean McCoy, one of the NFL's more versatile runners. McCoy's 1,080 yards last season gave Philadelphia its first 1,000-yard rusher since Westbrook had 1,333 in 2007.
Westbrook ran for 340 yards on 77 carries last season and caught 16 passes for 150 yards.
